Tokyo Boy Meets Country Manhua
Chiaki's designer loafers sank into the soft earth as he helped Soichirou repair a broken fence. The Tokyo boy had never imagined himself doing manual labor, let alone enjoying it. Sweat beaded on his brow as he laughed at Soichirou's clumsy attempts to hammer the nails straight.
"Looks like you're getting the hang of it," Chiaki teased, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
Soichirou grinned back, his cheeks dusted with a rosy hue from the exertion. "Thanks to your expert guidance, city boy."
Their banter was easy now, a far cry from the awkward tension that had filled the air when they first met. Chiaki found himself admiring Soichirou's strength and determination, his heart warming at the thought of how far they had come since that fateful mix-up brought them together.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, Chiaki knew he had a decision to make. Would he return to his old life in Tokyo, filled with glamour but empty of the simple joys he had discovered in the countryside? Or would he choose to stay, to nurture this unexpected connection that had blossomed between him and Soichirou?
In that moment, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the farm, Chiaki made his choice. With a newfound sense of purpose, he turned to Soichirou and said, "I think I want to stick around a little longer. There's still so much more fence to fix, after all." And as Soichirou's face lit up with a smile that reached his eyes, Chiaki knew he had found a home where his heart truly belonged.
