Even if the Flowers are Gone Manhua
As the moon reached its highest peak on the night of the Lunar New Year, Inok's footsteps echoed through the dimly lit corridors of the palace. His heart heavy with the weight of his discoveries, he pushed open the doors to the king's chamber, determined to confront the truth that had eluded him for so long.
King Raan sat upon his throne, a solitary figure bathed in the pale moonlight that filtered through the stained glass windows. His eyes, once filled with kindness and wisdom, now reflected a cold emptiness that sent a shiver down Inok's spine.
"Inok," the king's voice was barely a whisper, tinged with sorrow and regret. "I had hoped to spare you from this darkness, to shield you from the truth that has haunted me for centuries."
Inok knelt before the king, his heart torn between loyalty and despair. "Your Majesty, what has happened to you? Why have you turned away from the light that once guided you?"
A shadow passed over Raan's face, and in that fleeting moment, Inok glimpsed the pain and torment that lay hidden beneath the king's stoic facade. "Long ago, I made a choice that sealed my fate," Raan spoke, his voice heavy with remorse. "I sacrificed everything I held dear to protect this kingdom, to keep the darkness at bay. But in doing so, I lost a part of myself that I can never reclaim."
Inok's hands trembled as he reached out to touch the king's trembling form, a silent vow passing between them in the hushed silence of the chamber. "I will stand by you, Your Majesty," he whispered, his voice fierce with determination. "Even if the flowers are gone, and the world crumbles around us, I will fight for you, for this kingdom, until my last breath."
And as the stars faded from the sky and the first rays of dawn crept over the horizon, Inok knew that their journey was far from over. But together, with courage as their guide and love as their shield, they would face whatever darkness lay ahead, united in a bond that transcended time and fate.
